According to the information received, the water channel located along the National Highway at Majiwara in Thane city will be shifted to another place. For this, the work will be started by the municipality on Wednesday. Due to this, the water supply department of Thane Municipal Corporation has informed that water supply will be stopped in many parts of the city from 9 am on Wednesday to 9 am on Thursday. After Thursday afternoon, water supply will be started in the city with low pressure. Due to this, after Mumbai and Pune, now the citizens of Thane are also facing water shortage.

After Thane Indiranagar, Lokmanyanagar, Srinagar, Ramnagar, Eternity, Johnson, Saket, Majiwara, Ghodbandar Road, Patlipada, Gandhinagar, Siddhanchal, Ritupark, Jeltki, Siddeshwar, Samatanagar, Rustamji Colony area including some parts of Kalwa-Mumbra city. The water supply will be shut down for 24 hours while the replacement of the water channel is undertaken. Therefore, the officials have appealed to the municipality to cooperate by storing the required water for the next few days.
