A subsidy of Rs 500 per quintal should be given on onion

The government has adopted a policy of cheating onion farmers. Youth Sena leader Ranjit Bagal demanded immediate deposit of Rs 500 per quintal subsidy to onion farmers directly into their accounts without any conditions. The government should bear the cost of onion export to foreign onion farmers. Bagal demanded that the tax on onion export should also be waived. Only then onion farmers will get relief. Sutowach Bagal said that he will always remain committed through party chief Uddhav Thackeray regarding the issues of onion producing farmers in the future.

The government is not serious about the issue of onion farmers

District Coordinator of Shiv Arogya Sena Dr. Rajshri Kashirsagar said that the government does not seem serious about the issue of onion farmers. Kashirsagar warned that in the near future this government will have to pay the price for bringing tears to the eyes of onion growers who are laboring in thousands of poor farms in the state.

There is no purchase of onions by NAFED in the market committee

Due to fall in onion prices, farmers have come to Metakuti. Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis (DCM Devendra Fadnavis) told in the Legislative Assembly that onion procurement center will be started in Agriculture Produce Market Committees from Nafed. Fadnavis had given this information on Thursday (March 2). However, in reality nothing was told to the market committees. Market committees have not yet started buying onions from NAFED. Due to this there is confusion among the farmers. At present onion is being procured from Mahakishan Vriddhi Agro Producer Company Limited.
