Criticism of the opposition on the budget

Finance Minister Devendra Fadnavis has made various announcements in this budget. However, his opponents have strongly criticized this budget. Due to which the opposition is likely to attack again in the House today. Today, along with the discussion on the budget, the pending questions from last week will also be discussed.

Onion issue and unseasonal rains are likely to re-attack the opposition

At present, onion farmers in the state are in trouble. There has been a big fall in onion prices. The farmers of the state are having to bear the brunt of it. Farmers are protesting along with farmers’ organizations at different places. Onion is selling at Rs 500 to 600 per quintal. That is why opponents have demanded subsidy on onion. However, the government has not yet taken any decision in this regard. Apart from this, unseasonal rain has damaged the crops of farmers in different districts of the state. Unseasonal rains and hailstorms have ruined ripe crops. The opposition has also demanded that the government should announce immediate assistance to the farmers affected by these losses. The government has not taken any decision on this yet. Therefore, there is a possibility that the opposition will be aggressive in the House on these two issues.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of the state Eknath Shinde has promised to give relief to the onion producing farmers. He also said that the government will not spare the farmers who are suffering due to unseasonal rains. At present, panchnama of the damaged area is in progress.
