Kisan Long March from Nashik to Mumbai: The long march of Kisan Sabha, which started from Nashik to Mumbai due to various demands of the farmers, has finally been postponed. The representatives of Kisan Sabha met and discussed with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today. After the then Chief Minister accepted all the demands of the farmers, the Kisan Sabha has decided to postpone the movement. After that, it has come to light that instead of a long march, the farmers will return from Thane to Nashik by a victorious march. Kisan Sabha leader JP Gavit has announced that he is withdrawing the agitation. All our demands have been accepted and the government has taken a decision taking us into confidence. JP Gavit has said that the copy of the decision taken in the meeting has been handed over to us by the district collector and we are satisfied, the demands of the farmers will be fulfilled in the next few days.

The farmers had taken out a long march from Nashik to Mumbai demanding better prices for agricultural produce, satbara harvest, compensation and many other demands. After the massive march of farmers reached Thane, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde called the Kisan Sabha delegation for talks. A 16-member delegation led by Kisan Sabha’s Ashok Dhavle, JP Gavit, Ajit Navale, Vinod Nikole, Uday Narkar, DL Karar, Umesh Deshmukh met the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
